Jordan Stensvad
GAME DEV PORTFOLIO
About Me
I'm Jordan Stensvad, a gameplay programmer specializing in Unreal Engine, Blueprint, gameplay systems, and scalable game architecture.
I've spent the last several years building gameplay systems across both long-term projects and rapid game jams, with experience ranging from combat and AI to procedural generation, progression systems, player movement, and UI. I particularly enjoy taking complex gameplay ideas and turning them into systems that are modular, maintainable, and easy for other developers to build upon.
A large part of my work involves bridging the gap between programming and other disciplines. I've worked closely with artists, animators, VFX artists, audio designers, and other programmers to integrate their work into gameplay systems, while also mentoring programmers and helping establish technical patterns across larger teams.
My programming journey has been largely self-directed through online courses, documentation, experimentation, and—most importantly—building games. That process has taken me from learning the fundamentals of Unreal Engine to leading the programming effort on an ongoing project and building complete games under game jam constraints.
I'm currently focused on continuing to grow as a gameplay programmer while working toward the long-term goal of developing and shipping an indie game of my own.
This portfolio is a collection of the projects I've worked on, with a focus on the systems I've built, the technical challenges I've encountered, and the decisions that shaped each project.

Here are some of the exciting projects I've worked on. Each project demonstrates my expertise in game design, programming, and creating immersive experiences.
